Jogakbo-Inspired Dohl Banner
Banner with chut dohl in Korean (첫돌) for purchase.
This banner is inspired by jogakbo, a traditional Korean patchwork style using leftover fabric scraps to create bojagi. Displaying jogakbo at a baekil or dohl is a great way to add a traditional aesthetic element to the celebration but also to symbolize all the different members of your village that helped you raise your baby. A beautiful reminder that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
To keep things economical, the jogakbo design is printed onto the fabric, not patched/handstitched.
Cut and sewn by hand, each banner will vary slightly and come with frayed/hand cut edges. Please note that dowel and ribbons in listing photos are not included with rental and for styling purposes only.
Material: Medium weight linen/cotton blend (55% linen, 45% cotton)
Fabric Color: White
Ink Color: Black
Size: Approximately 14×20”
