Card Stock / Envelope Colors
*Envelopes marked with an asterisk require white ink printing.
All of our FSC-certified envelopes have a smooth, matte finish and come with a triangular flap.
Darker card stocks/envelopes must be printed in white ink.
We strive to represent the colors shown on our website as accurately as possible, but we cannot guarantee that the actual color of the envelope will look exactly like the screen color. The colors displayed on-screen may vary depending on monitors and what is shown may NOT be an exact representation of the color.
Printing Methods
Digital flat printing, letterpress, and foil press printing are available with our suites.
Digital flat ($) —
The most budget-friendly printing option, digital printing leaves a smooth and flat image on the surface of the paper. Available on our standard stock and deckled paper.
Keep in mind: Digital ink is not completely opaque and may blend with the color of the card stock, so if you want the truest color results, we recommend sticking with our soft white paper options. For digital ink to show up against dark papers or envelopes, you must choose white ink. Again, because the white ink isn’t completely opaque, it may look slightly translucent on darker papers. For a completely opaque print, choose foil press.
Letterpress ($$) —
Letterpress printing is a type of relief printing. A custom plate of your design is inked up and pressed into each card, leaving a beautiful debossed impression of your design that you can feel with your fingertips. Available on all of our in-house paper stocks.
Keep in mind: Letterpress ink not opaque, so letterpress is not available with our dark papers or envelopes unless you choose blind press. Blind press consists of impressing your design onto the paper using an un-inked letterpress plate for a subtle, debossed look with no color.
Foil Press ($$$) —
Similar to letterpress printing, foil press printing is a type of relief printing where the design is pressed into the card. The main difference is that instead of ink, foil is used to print your design. Foil press printing is fully opaque and available on all of our in-house paper stocks, including our darkest papers and envelopes.
